Vego Victorian Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide: Timeless Victorian Design Meets Smarter Ventilation

The Vego Garden Victorian Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide brings the timeless elegance of a traditional glasshouse into a spacious, thoughtfully designed growing environment. Its classic gabled roof, tall sidewalls, and generous 10.5-foot width offer room for planting benches, a potting station, and an expanding collection of plants, creating a beautiful addition to your garden that's just as practical to use.

Beyond its appearance, this Victorian greenhouse is designed to make everyday growing easier. An 8mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof provides enhanced insulation and weather protection, while automatic roof vent openers and lower louvered vents help manage heat and airflow. Choose full polycarbonate glazing for better insulation and diffused light, or tempered-glass walls for clear views and a traditional glasshouse aesthetic, all while retaining the insulated polycarbonate roof.

Vego Victorian Greenhouse 10.5ft Wide 1.2mm powder-coated aluminum frame profile for outdoor durability

Durable Aluminum Construction and Weather Protection

The Vego Victorian Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide is built around a heavy-duty, 1.2mm powder-coated aluminum frame with stainless steel hardware, designed to resist rust and withstand years of outdoor exposure. Its classic gabled roof helps shed rain and snow, while the structure is rated for wind resistance up to 62 mph and a maximum snow load of 20 psf. For added peace of mind, Vego Garden backs the aluminum frame with a 15-year limited warranty.

The roof features 8mm triple-wall polycarbonate panels that provide an additional layer of insulation and protection against the elements, including hail, snow, and stormy weather. This reinforced roof construction is included with both glazing options, so whether you prefer full polycarbonate or tempered-glass walls, your greenhouse benefits from the same insulated, weather-resistant roof.

Choose Between Polycarbonate and Glass-Hybrid Glazing

The Vego Victorian Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide offers two glazing options to suit your growing needs and aesthetic preferences. The full polycarbonate version combines 8mm double-wall side panels with an 8mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof, creating a more insulated growing environment that helps retain warmth during cooler weather. Its multiwall panels also diffuse incoming sunlight, spreading light more evenly across your plants and reducing harsh direct exposure. A UV-protective coating adds another layer of protection to the polycarbonate panels.

For gardeners who prefer the clarity and timeless appearance of a traditional glasshouse, the glass-hybrid option pairs 4mm tempered-glass walls with the same 8mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof. The transparent glass offers unobstructed views of your plants and garden while allowing abundant natural light inside. Although glass walls provide less insulation than double-wall polycarbonate, the shared triple-wall roof still helps reduce heat loss overhead. This makes full polycarbonate the stronger choice for insulation and diffused light, while the glass hybrid is ideal for those who value transparency and classic Victorian aesthetics.

Vego Victorian Greenhouse 10.5ft Wide lower louvered vent and temperature-sensitive automatic roof vent opener

Automatic and Manual Ventilation for Temperature Control

Greenhouses can heat up quickly on sunny days, making proper ventilation essential for healthy growing conditions. The Vego Victorian Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide features 6, 8, or 10 roof vents, depending on the size, along with two lower louvered vents. As warm air rises and escapes through the roof, the lower vents allow fresh air to enter, helping improve circulation and reduce excess heat and humidity.

For added convenience, two roof vents are equipped with temperature-sensitive automatic openers that respond to changing temperatures without electricity or batteries. These heat-activated mechanisms open the vents as temperatures rise and close them as conditions cool, reducing the need for constant manual adjustments. The remaining roof vents can be opened manually for additional airflow control, giving you a practical balance of automatic ventilation and hands-on flexibility.

Vego Victorian Greenhouse 10.5ft Wide Dutch-style doors with independent upper openings, flip-top gutters, and rainwater drainage downpipe

Dutch-Style Doors and Flip-Top Gutters for Everyday Convenience

The Vego Victorian Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide features classic Dutch-style double doors that combine traditional charm with practical flexibility. The upper sections can open independently while the lower sections remain closed, allowing fresh air inside while helping keep pets and unwanted wildlife out. When fully opened, the wide double-door entrance and low 1.1-inch threshold make it easier to move potted plants, gardening supplies, and equipment in and out of the greenhouse.

Along the roofline, integrated flip-top gutters collect rainwater runoff and channel it through included downpipes, making it easy to direct water away from the structure or into a separate collection container for garden use. The flip-top covers help prevent leaves and debris from entering the gutters and can be opened for easier cleaning. This thoughtful design simplifies routine maintenance while providing a practical way to collect rainwater for your plants.

Choose Your Victorian Greenhouse Size

The Vego Victorian Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide is available in three lengths, each offered with full polycarbonate or glass-hybrid glazing. All three models share the same 10.5-foot exterior width, 9.4-foot peak height, and 6.2-foot sidewalls, providing generous headroom for tall plants, shelving, and everyday gardening. Choose the length that best accommodates your growing plans and available backyard space.

Size Internal Dimensions Interior Area Roof Vents Best Fit For
10.5' × 12.5' 10.25' × 12.25' 126 sq. ft. 6 Gardeners seeking a spacious backyard greenhouse with room for plant benches, shelving, and a central walkway.
10.5' × 16.5' 10.25' × 16.25' 167 sq. ft. 8 Growers wanting additional space for propagation, larger plant collections, and a dedicated potting area.
10.5' × 20.5' 10.25' × 20.25' 208 sq. ft. 10 Gardeners planning extensive growing setups, longer planting benches, or separate growing and relaxation areas.

Swipe sideways to view the full size chart on smaller screens.

The 10.5-foot width provides flexibility to arrange planting benches along the sides while maintaining a comfortable central walkway, depending on your chosen layout. If you're primarily growing seedlings, vegetables, or a modest collection of potted plants, the 12.5-foot length offers plenty of possibilities. The 16.5-foot model provides additional room to separate growing activities, while the 20.5-foot version is well suited to larger collections or gardeners who want space for a seating area among their plants.

When selecting your size, consider your intended bench arrangement, the space needed to move comfortably between plants, and any future additions. All three lengths are available with either glazing option and include two automatic roof vent openers and two lower louvered vents. The longer models provide additional growing area and roof vents without changing the greenhouse's width or overall height.

Plan Your Greenhouse Installation

Vego Victorian Greenhouse 10.5ft Wide foundation installation options showing solid foundation, perimeter frame, firm ground, and unsupported pads to avoid

Before assembling your Vego Victorian Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide, choose a level installation site, plan for proper anchoring, and allow enough time and assistance for a careful setup.

Foundation & Anchoring: A solid foundation or supporting perimeter frame is recommended for long-term stability, although installation on firm, level ground is also possible with appropriate anchoring. The assembly manual provides instructions for securing the greenhouse to wood, concrete, or firm soil. Heavy-duty landscape stakes must be purchased separately for ground installations.

Assembly Requirements: Allow approximately 24–48 hours for assembly and plan for a team of at least three people. You'll need additional tools and supplies, including a drill, ladder, level, and silicone caulk. The manual provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the aluminum frame, installing the glazing, fitting the roof vents, and securing the structure.

Glazing Installation: For polycarbonate panels, the UV-protected side must face outward, and exposed panel channels should be sealed with the provided tape to help prevent moisture and debris from entering. The glass-hybrid option requires careful handling of the tempered-glass panels and proper installation of the glazing seals. A glass suction cup tool is recommended for safer handling and must be purchased separately.

Ongoing Maintenance: Keep the roof and gutters clear of accumulated snow, leaves, and debris. Clean the panels with mild soap and water, and periodically inspect fasteners and seals. During strong winds or severe weather, close and secure the roof vents, including the automatic vent mechanisms, according to the manual.

1. Solid Foundation: A continuous, level foundation, such as a suitable concrete slab, is a preferred installation option.

2. Solid Supporting Frame: A stable, level perimeter foundation is another preferred option.

3. Firm Ground or Grass: Installation is possible on firm, level ground with appropriate anchoring.

4. Individual Support Pads: Do not install the greenhouse on separate pads that leave sections of the base unsupported.

Important: All installation methods require suitable anchoring. Confirm local building requirements and follow the assembly instructions for your selected greenhouse size and glazing configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which glazing option should I choose for the Vego Victorian Greenhouse?

If you value clear views of your plants and the classic appearance of a glasshouse, the 4mm tempered-glass walls may be the better choice. If insulation and diffused light are more important, the full-polycarbonate option offers 8mm double-wall side panels. Both configurations include the same 8mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof for enhanced overhead insulation and weather protection, so the main difference is the wall glazing.

Can I use the Vego Victorian Greenhouse during winter without a heater?

The 8mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof helps retain heat, while the full-polycarbonate version provides additional insulation through its double-wall side panels. However, neither configuration generates heat on its own. In colder climates, supplemental heating may be necessary to protect frost-sensitive plants. Your heating needs depend on local temperatures, your chosen glazing, and the plants you intend to grow.

Will the greenhouse get too hot during summer?

Like most enclosed greenhouses, the Victorian can become very warm in direct sunlight. Its roof vents, two lower louvered vents, and Dutch-style doors help improve airflow and release excess heat. Two temperature-sensitive automatic roof vent openers also respond to changing temperatures without electricity. During particularly hot weather, additional cooling measures, such as shade cloth or circulation fans, may still be necessary. A greenhouse thermometer can help you monitor conditions.

Do the Victorian's roof vents open automatically?

Yes. The 10.5-foot-wide Victorian includes 6, 8, or 10 roof vents, depending on the greenhouse length, along with two automatic vent openers. These temperature-sensitive mechanisms open and close two of the existing roof vents as temperatures change, without requiring electricity or batteries. The remaining roof vents can be adjusted manually for additional airflow control.

Where should I position the Victorian Greenhouse in my backyard?

Choose a location with good sunlight, particularly during the cooler months when daylight is limited. Avoid excessive shade from buildings or trees, and allow enough clearance for the Dutch-style double doors to open fully and for routine maintenance around the structure. In hotter climates, some afternoon shade may help reduce summer heat buildup. A level, stable installation surface with proper anchoring is also important.

Will condensation form inside the greenhouse?

Some condensation is normal when warm, humid air meets cooler surfaces, particularly during temperature changes. The automatic and manual roof vents, lower louvered vents, and Dutch-style doors help manage excess humidity by improving airflow. During assembly, follow the installation manual's instructions for sealing polycarbonate panel channels or fitting the glass glazing seals correctly to help prevent unwanted moisture intrusion.

Do I need a building permit for the Vego Victorian Greenhouse?

Permit requirements vary by location and greenhouse size. Before installation, check with your local building or zoning department and review any applicable HOA restrictions. Also confirm that the greenhouse's published wind resistance of 62 mph and maximum snow load of 20 psf meet your area's requirements.

Shipping is FREE on all orders to customers within USA.

We don't want to mess around with fine print and extra charges, we like things to be simple and easy.

Want to know about our Returns Policy? Read more here.

Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorised your credit card for the purchase.

As soon as we receive your order we automatically check to confirm that your order is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on back-order or unavailable we will void the pre-authorisation and reach out to you via e-mail to see if alternate arrangements can be made.

If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days) we will process the charges and get to work preparing your order for shipment.

Order Shipment:

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card it will ship within three business days from the date of your order.

We will send you shipping confirmation within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.

If you do not receive shipping confirmation from us within four business days of your order feel free to follow up with us at sales@vistagreenhouses.com.

International Orders:

Please be aware that our products are made specifically for the USA market. This means that they require a [choose 110V or 240V] electrical system to function correctly.

Our products have generally not been certified for use with other countries electrical safety standards but all of our products are certified to USA standards.

We will happily ship our fantastic products to international customers. Due to the extremely wide variety of product dimensions we will provide an up to date shipping price quote for you on request.

If you are happy with our shipping quote we will prepare an order and payment though our ultra secure online payment gateway.
