Description

Vego Pacific Greenhouse - 10.5ft Wide: A Growing Space With Room to Work

For gardeners who want planting beds or benches along both sides of their greenhouse, with a comfortable central aisle for everyday tasks, the Vego Pacific Greenhouse provides a practical space to grow and work. Its 10.25-foot interior width gives you the flexibility to arrange your growing areas while keeping room to water, tend plants, and move supplies.

Built with a powder-coated aluminum frame, 8 mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof panels, and 8 mm double-wall side panels, it also features adjustable roof vents, two louvered windows, and two temperature-sensitive automatic vent openers to help manage airflow. With three lengths available, from 10.5' × 12.5' to 10.5' × 20.5', you can choose the growing and working space that suits your backyard and gardening plans.

Built for Outdoor Use, With Insulation Where It Counts

The Pacific's 1.2 mm powder-coated aluminum frame resists rust, while stainless steel hardware is well suited to the moisture common in greenhouse environments. Its 8 mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof panels and 8 mm double-wall wall panels feature insulating air spaces, helping reduce heat loss compared with single-layer coverings.

The panels also have a UV-protective coating, and Vego backs the aluminum frame with a 15-year limited warranty.

Manage Greenhouse Heat With Automatic and Manual Ventilation

Even on mild days, sunlight can quickly raise temperatures inside a greenhouse. The 10.5-foot-wide Pacific includes six, eight, or ten adjustable roof vents, depending on length, along with two manually operated louvered side windows. Opening the lower windows allows fresh air to enter while warm air escapes through the roof vents, helping growers manage temperature and humidity.

Two of the roof vents can be fitted with the included temperature-sensitive automatic openers, which open as the greenhouse warms and close as it cools, without electricity. The remaining roof vents operate manually, giving growers additional control over airflow. During particularly hot weather, supplemental cooling, such as shade cloth or circulation fans, may still be necessary.

Flip-Top Gutters for Better Rainwater Management

The Pacific's 30-degree sloped roof directs rainfall into integrated gutters and downpipes, helping manage runoff around the greenhouse. Water from the downpipes can be directed away from the structure or collected in a separate rain barrel for garden use.

The gutters feature flip-top covers that help keep leaves and debris out while providing easy access for cleaning. Periodically checking and clearing the gutters helps maintain proper drainage.

Dutch-Style Double Doors for Flexible Everyday Access

The Pacific's Dutch-style double doors allow the upper sections to open independently while the lower sections remain closed. This provides an additional way to let fresh air into the greenhouse without opening the entire entrance. Both doors can also open fully, making it easier to carry plants, pots, and gardening supplies inside.

A low 1.1-inch door threshold makes moving heavier planters and wheeled garden carts through the entrance more convenient. The doors also include a lock, allowing you to secure the greenhouse when it's not in use.

The Vego Pacific Greenhouse comes in three lengths, all with the same 10.5-foot exterior width. Whether you're planning planting beds along both sides or want space for growing benches, shelving, and a dedicated potting area, the right size depends on how you plan to use the space.

Planning your layout: All three models provide 10.25 feet of interior width, so choosing a longer greenhouse gives you additional room along its length, not a wider aisle. Before selecting a size, consider the depth of your planting beds or benches, the space needed to reach your plants, and how much room you'll want for moving around comfortably.

Checking your available space: Use the exterior dimensions to make sure the greenhouse fits your installation area, with adequate clearance for the Dutch-style double doors to open fully and access around the structure for routine maintenance.

Plan Your Greenhouse Installation

Four foundation options for the Vego Pacific 10.5ft Wide Greenhouse: solid foundation, perimeter frame, firm ground, and unsupported individual pads

Before assembling your Vego Pacific Greenhouse, plan for a stable installation surface, proper anchoring, and enough time and assistance to complete the setup.

Foundation & Anchoring: A solid foundation or supporting frame is recommended, although installation on firm, level ground is also possible with appropriate anchoring. The assembly manual covers securing the greenhouse to wood, concrete, or firm soil. Heavy-duty landscape stakes must be purchased separately for ground installations.

Assembly Requirements: Allow approximately 24–48 hours for assembly and plan for at least three people. You'll need additional tools and supplies, including a drill, ladder, level, and silicone caulk. The installation manual provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the frame, installing the polycarbonate panels, and sealing the structure.

Weather Suitability & Maintenance: The Pacific has a listed wind resistance of 62 mph and a maximum snow load of 20 psf. Check these ratings against your local conditions before purchasing. For ongoing care, keep the roof and gutters clear of snow and debris, inspect fasteners and seals, and clean the panels with mild soap and water. Close and secure roof vents, including those fitted with automatic openers, during storms or strong winds.

1. Solid foundation: A continuous, level foundation, such as a suitable concrete slab, is a preferred installation option.

2. Solid supporting frame: A stable, level perimeter foundation is another preferred option.

3. Firm ground or grass: Installation is possible on firm, level ground with appropriate anchoring.

4. Individual support pads: Do not support the greenhouse on separate pads that leave sections of the base unsupported.

Important: All installation methods require suitable anchoring. Confirm local requirements and follow the installation instructions for your selected model and site conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the Vego Pacific Greenhouse during winter without a heater?

The 8 mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof panels and double-wall wall panels help retain heat, but the greenhouse does not generate heat on its own. In colder climates, supplemental heating may be necessary to protect frost-sensitive plants. Whether you need a heater depends on your local temperatures, the plants you're growing, and your desired growing season.

Will the greenhouse get too hot during summer?

Like most enclosed greenhouses, the Pacific can become very warm in direct sunlight. Its adjustable roof vents, two louvered windows, and Dutch-style doors help release excess heat, while two automatic roof vent openers respond to rising temperatures. However, additional cooling, such as shade cloth or circulation fans, may still be needed during hot weather. A greenhouse thermometer can help you monitor conditions.

Do the automatic roof vent openers require electricity?

No. The two included automatic vent openers use temperature-sensitive cylinders to open and close as conditions change, without electricity. However, they respond to temperature rather than approaching storms. During strong winds or severe weather, the installation manual instructs owners to close and secure the vents to prevent damage.

Where should I position the greenhouse in my backyard?

Choose a location with good sunlight, particularly during the cooler months when daylight is limited. Avoid excessive shade from buildings or trees, and make sure there is enough clearance for the Dutch-style doors to open fully and for routine maintenance around the structure. In hotter climates, some afternoon shade may help reduce summer heat buildup.

Will condensation form inside the greenhouse?

Some condensation is normal when warm, humid air meets cooler surfaces. Maintaining airflow through the roof vents and louvered windows helps manage excess humidity. During assembly, follow the installation manual's instructions for orienting and sealing the polycarbonate panels to help prevent moisture and debris from entering their internal channels.

Do I need a building permit for the Vego Pacific Greenhouse?

Permit requirements vary by location and greenhouse size. Before installation, check with your local building or zoning department and review any applicable HOA restrictions. Also confirm that the greenhouse's wind and snow ratings meet your area's requirements.
